Earn Professional Development Points/Continuing Education Credits

All program leaders that lead a group with Casterbridge Tours are eligible for Professional Development Points and/or Graduate Credit. By taking an international program with Casterbridge you will receive up to 35 points, 35 hours, or 3.5 CEU’s toward your professional development and we will issue your points, hours, or units. You will also have the option of earning a maximum of 3 hours of graduate credit for only $320! All free place, adult chaperones that travel with your group are also eligible for professional development points.

Professional Development Points/Hours/Units

Along with our parent company, WorldStrides, we have issued over 16,000 transcripts for educators since 2005. We continue to offer participants professional development tailored specifically to most state re-certification requirements, for traveling on a Casterbridge program. For all international tours, except to Costa Rica (30), you will qualify for 35 Professional Development Points.

How to Claim Your Professional Development Points

Simply accompany students on one of our renowned educational travel programs. Program Leaders request their transcripts through MyTrip. Once logged in, unofficial copies can be viewed, multiple copies requested, or transcripts from past years can be requested. Chaperones can also receive transcripts for professional development, but will need to request through their Program Leader, who can login to MyTrip and make the specific request. Each transcript is tailored to most state’s requirements for re-certification and includes State Board of Education approval codes or additional state forms, if applicable. Transcripts are issued approximately four weeks after travel has been completed.

From your initial inquiry all the way through the end of your touring experience, Casterbridge is dedicated to providing the very best personal service and support for our program leaders. We have a multitude of printed and online resources available to program leaders. In addition, we have regional tour coordinators across North America who will assist you in designing and promoting your customized tour. To help you recruit your group, we will provide materials to distribute and design a private promotional webpage. We can also arrange a presentation for a parent meeting at your school.
