Other exciting activities included an amazing canopy tour and an unbelievable raft trip.However, it was not the touring attractions that left the greatest impression on the group – Service, wholeheartedly giving themselves to others, became the most memorable moment in the minds and hearts of every participant. The volunteer experience at PANI opened the eyes of 21 students. Walking alongside orphans (some abused and handicapped), the girls were humbled by their unspoiled happiness and unending gratitude for simple gifts such as coloring books, jump ropes, and pens. Simply holding hands, singing songs, and playing games conveyed the purest form of love and compassion. With the sun shining high overhead, the entire day seemed fit for heaven.”

“I wanted to let you know that we had a great time in Peru! The best place was Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. The hotels in Urumbamba and in Puno were great! Food was good on the trip too. Lake Titicaca and the Islands were fantastic. I gave out school supplies and loved seeing the kids. The tour company down there was wonderful, they took good care of us, especially looking after me.”

We arrived here yesterday afternoon to a rousing welcome, with a school band and hundreds of students with red banners and flowers and thunderous applause.
