Courtesy and Faculty Trip Discounts

Casterbridge is pleased to offer every group two different types of discounts. First are Courtesy Discounts, designed to allow a group leader to bring an immediate family member on the tour with the group at a reduced cost. Second would be Faculty Discounts, designed to allow additional, non-free-place, faculty members to join the group at a reduced rate. Using these discounts can be an excellent alternative to adding additional free places, which tend to raise the participant prices.

COURTESY DISCOUNTS

In order to allow family members to travel with a chaperone, we offer a maximum of 3 courtesy discounts. Any spouse or dependant of a chaperone who is traveling as a full-paying group member is eligible to receive one of these three courtesy discounts. However, they will not count towards your final group size for the purpose of allocating free places.

Of the 3 possible courtesy discounts:

One will be eligible for a 20% discount.

One will be eligible for a 15% discount.

One will be eligible for a 10% discount.

FACULTY DISCOUNTS

In addition, up to 3 faculty members who are not traveling on a free place can qualify for a 15% faculty discount. (Once again, these discounted participants will not count toward your final group size.)

STIPEND PAYMENTS

Our standard free-place ratio is one free place for every six full-paying participants, but if you don’t wish to take full advantage of this (you may decide you only need a ratio of 1 to 10), another of our group leader incentives offers a cash stipend for each unutilized free place, as follows:

For a tour costing $1,500 – $1,999, a $750 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

For a tour costing $2,000 – $2,999, a $1,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

For a tour costing $3,000 – $3,999, a $1,500 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

For a tour costing $4,000 – $4,999, a $2,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

For a tour costing $5,000 – $5,999, a $2,500 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

For a tour costing $6,000 – $6,999, a $3,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
