Getting Started with Casterbridge, Your Group Tour Organizer

When you call or e-mail us, you will be assigned a regional coordinator to help you start planning your tour.

You may wish to ask for the relevant Tour Folder for your tour. We have six types of specialized tour folders available to you:

Concert
Church
Connoisseur
Planet Earth
Sports

Each Tour Folder will cover many of the practical points about planning your tour. It will also include other publications or catalogs relevant to your particular group and destination.

Where, When, and Theme

As you begin planning a group tour, your regional coordinator will ask you some basic questions: where do you want to go, when do you wish to travel, and what themes or educational goals should we keep in mind?

When….

We operate all our tours and programs throughout the year, which makes planning a group tour much easier.

You can travel to any of our worldwide destinations at any time with as few as 10 participants: Christmas in Vienna, New Year’s Eve in London, spring in Copenhagen, summer amidst the Alps, or autumn in Paris – the choice is yours.

You may be planning a group tour on your spring, summer, or winter breaks or during the school year. We will happily work around whatever best fits your needs.

Where…

We operate tours on six continents and to any country the State Department deems safe, giving you the ultimate flexibility to choose a destination that will have the most impact on the education of your students.

Your regional coordinator will be happy to assist you in planning a group tour to any of our worldwide destinations.

Theme…

Your regional coordinator will help plan your tour around the themes and educational goals most important to you.

We have encountered a range of program requests over the years and will meet all thematic requests with a well-researched variety of educational, cultural, and recreational activities.

And, of course, you have the final say on exactly what you see and do and on how your educational goals are incorporated into the program.

Initial Itinerary and Quick Quote

If you already have an itinerary in mind, we can fax or e-mail you a preliminary itinerary and Quick Quote within 72 hours. This initial outline will include a fully detailed itinerary with pricing and a list of all included services, flights, hotels, and admissions.

We will be happy to work with you to refine your proposal and produce an itinerary that is tailored to your own precise needs.

Modify Your Program

After you have received a proposal back from us, you may think of additional activities or locations to add to your itinerary, or decide that you want to add or subtract a day or two.

Perhaps you want to add three days in another city, or spend one less day in the provinces. Perhaps another teacher would like to join you and has some ideas of his or her own. You may even have a new unit in your curriculum you wish to address.

We allow you to modify your travel program prior to the time of booking, until it meets your exact needs, at no extra cost. You may change it as many times as you wish, until you are completely satisfied and are happy to proceed with booking your tour on this basis.

Each time you make a change, you will receive a proposal documenting it to ensure that you always have the most current and complete information in your hands.
