Group Leader Incentives Earned by Booking a Group Tour

We reward our group leaders for the work they undertake throughout the process of forming a group and for selecting Casterbridge as their travel partner.

Voice Your Choice

Our Voice Your Choice incentives provide flexibility and creativity for earning and using rewards. Please see our Voice Your Choice page for full details. Here is a very brief outline:

Option # 1 – Free flights for auction or scholarship.
Option #2 – Pre-tour familiarization trips for group leaders and/or clergy.
Option #3 – Cash incentives and bonuses that can be used for any purpose.

In addition to these incentives, group leaders are eligible for all of the following:

Courtesy Discounts for Family and Colleagues

In order to allow family members to travel with a group leader, we offer a maximum of three courtesy discounts.

Any group leader who is traveling free may bring along another family member; they will be eligible to receive one of these three courtesy discounts.

Please note that discounted participants will not count towards your final number of ‘full paying participants’ for the purposes of allocating free places.

Of the three possible courtesy discounts:

  • One will be eligible for a 20% discount.
  • One will be eligible for a 15% discount.
  • One will be eligible for a 10% discount.

In addition, up to three colleagues (clergy, group leaders, or faculty) who are not traveling on a free place can qualify for a 15% faculty discount. (Once again, these discounted participants will not count toward your final group size.)

Stipend Payments

You can request as many or as few free places as you need. If your group composition or circumstances change and you need fewer free places than originally planned, you may elect to receive a cash stipend for each unutilized free place, as follows:

  • For a tour costing $1,500+, a $750 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
  • For a tour costing $2,000+, a $1,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
  • For a tour costing $3,000+, a $1,500 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
  • For a tour costing $4,000+, a $2,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
  • For a tour costing $5,000+, a $2,500 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.
  • For a tour costing $6,000+, a $3,000 Stipend could be taken, rather than a free place.

Frequent Leader Bonus

Our group leader incentives, and especially our Frequent Leader Bonus, are unique in the religious travel market.

If you travel with Casterbridge for three consecutive years, we will credit you with Frequent Leader Points for every full-paying member of your group:

  • 1 point for each full-paying participant for tours up to $1999
  • 2 points for each full-paying participant on tours over $2000
  • 3 points for each full-paying participant on tours over $3000
  • 4 points for each full-paying participant on tours over $4000

For example, a group of 20 paying US$3200 will earn their group leader 60 points.

We will record your group leader incentives entitlement, and once you have brought a group on an inclusive tour with Casterbridge for three consecutive years you will be eligible for the following:

  • 150 pts: One round-trip flight to a major capital city.
  • 250 pts: Add one week hotel accommodations.
  • 350 pts: Two round-trip flights to a major capital city.
  • 450 pts: Add one week hotel accommodations (twin share.)
