Receive A Casterbridge Church Tour Proposal

Please feel free to call or e-mail us to receive a proposal. A Church Tour Coordinator will help you start planning your group tour.

You may wish to ask for the relevant Tour Folder for your tour. We have six types of specialized tour folders available to you:
• Church
• Education
• Concert
• Planet Earth
• Connoisseur
• Sports

Each Tour Folder will cover many of the practical points about planning your tour. It will also include other publications or catalogs relevant to your particular group and destination.

Free-Place Ratio

Before you receive a proposal, you may be asked your preference for a free-place ratio. This refers to the ratio of people traveling free based on the total number of participants on your tour. It usually applies to clergy, group leaders, and (for student groups) chaperones.

The industry standard free-place ratio for student groups is 1:6. That is, one free traveler for every six participants.

For college and adult groups, the ratio is 1:10. This is also a more suitable ratio if your group has tight budgetary concerns.

Most group tour operators require you to stick with this ratio, but we believe you should have the flexibility to enjoy as many or as few free places as you wish.

If you don’t need many chaperones, you may choose a 1:10 or 1:15 ratio. If you feel you need more, you might select a 1:4 or 1:5 ratio.

Some group leaders only need one or two free places, regardless of the number of participants. We leave your free-place ratio up to you, and you will see it stated clearly each time you receive a proposal from us.

Initial Itinerary and Quick Quote

If you already have an itinerary in mind, we can fax or e-mail you a preliminary itinerary and Quick Quote within 72 hours. This initial outline will include a fully detailed itinerary with pricing and a list of all included services, flights, hotels, and admissions.

We will be happy to work with you to refine your proposal and create an itinerary that is tailored to your own precise needs.

Modify Your Program

After you have received a proposal back from us, you may think of additional activities or locations to add to your itinerary, or decide that you want to add or subtract a day or two.

Perhaps you want to add three days in another city, or spend one less day in the provinces. Perhaps a colleague or group member has some ideas to contribute.

We allow you to modify your travel program prior to the time of booking, until it meets your exact needs, at no extra cost. You may change it as many times as you wish, until you are completely satisfied and are ready to proceed with booking your tour on this basis.

Each time you make a change, you will receive an updated church tour proposal documenting it to ensure that you always have the most current and complete information in your hands.
