Our Church Groups Enjoy Quality Meals Featuring Local Cuisine

Dining out and sampling local specialties should be one of the cultural highlights of any tour abroad and so we always try to give our groups a taste of local cuisine.

Authentic Cuisine Throughout

Your breakfasts will be continental in style, but they will often comprise a buffet laid out in the particular manner of the region.

Dinners will be in your hotel when you are outside major cities and will usually feature local dishes on the menu. When you are in a major city, dinners will be in local restaurants specifically selected for their authentic cuisine and some variety of experience, whenever possible.

The restaurants we select will serve authentic and traditional meals representing each country or region’s typical menu. Sometimes, there will be a set menu, while at other times you will be able to select from a range of dishes.

If you have a particular restaurant in mind for any area on your church tour itinerary, we will be pleased to look into its use. Our Tour Operations office will handle this after time of booking.

What about Lunch?

After morning sightseeing, we seek to combine lunch with some free time – generally an hour or two.

We try to spend it in an area full of local flavor, where group members can leisurely shop, practice the local language, or spend time in smaller groups, before meeting up again for our afternoon activities.

Group members will probably have a different desire for lunch, so we usually find it easier for them to buy it individually. This also provides an element of flexibility to each day. Your Tour Manager/Guide will always be there to recommend local cafés, restaurants, and bakeries.

We suggest budgeting $15-20 per day for lunches, snacks, and drinks.

If it is your preference, of course, we can arrange for your group to eat lunch together and include it in your costing.

For discerning church tour groups, upgraded meals or unique dining options can be arranged at specialty restaurants in the destinations along the tour itinerary.
