True Quality And Personal Service Throughout Your Church Tour
Your Tour Manager/Guide Is Always with You
Casterbridge’s personal service and attention to detail do not end once you have booked your tour. Our team of highly trained Church Tour Coordinators continue to ensure that your tour will meet your expectations in the most thorough and engaging manner possible.
Once you are on tour, you will be in the hands of a very capable Casterbridge Tour Manager/Guide. Each one has attended our unique Guides Training Course. This familiarizes them with the ‘Casterbridge’ approach, which provides a degree of personal attention to the unique needs of each group unequalled in the travel industry.
This is certainly appreciated by group leaders and the Casterbridge Tour Manager/Guide is often described as the one factor that, more than any other, distinguishes a Casterbridge tour from those of our competitors.
24-Hour Presence
The role of a Casterbridge Tour Manager/Guide is very different from that of a regular tour escort or manager/courier because our guides are available to your group 24 hours a day.
From airport arrival until departure, he or she will be with you at all times, no matter how small your group. Their efforts will be entirely focused on ensuring your tour is an unqualified success. They will stay overnight at your hotel with your group, remain available to back up and support your group leader, and stand ready to organize and supervise spare time and evening activities. This will ease the burden on your group leader and allow him or her to also enjoy the tour.
The Personal Touch
As well as being first-class guides, Casterbridge Tour Manager/Guides are renowned for the personal touches they bring to every tour. They will often introduce you to interesting local events and free-time activities that are off the beaten tourist track, making your tour a truly memorable experience.
Efficient Arrival Day
Arrival days are an important part of your touring program. Because your personal guide will meet your group at the airport, you will never wait for other groups to arrive. This will give you time to exchange money and be on your way without undue delay.
Because you will also have your own exclusive bus and driver, we can often include introductory sightseeing en route to your hotel, and we may also be able to include an initial site visit or excursion to acclimatize your group members to the country.
We Get Off the Bus
On large, combined tours that typically spend a great deal of time in a bus, microphone descriptions of cities and sites can only provide the briefest of descriptions of each destination. Our philosophy is to get out of the bus and take walking tours and in-depth visits to important sites. Your Tour Manager/Guide can then focus on the spiritual and cultural aspects that are most important to your group.
We also supplement the knowledge of your Tour Manager/Guide with local specialist guides at various locations to ensure that your tour goals are not only met, but exceeded.
Each Day Contains a Variety of Content
As important as the spiritual focus of a church tour is, it is equally important that your group members enjoy their time abroad and feel they have truly connected with the local culture. We therefore ensure that each day contains a variety of activities, which are complimented by your Tour Manager/Guide’s local knowledge and expertise.
Educational and Cultural Visits
Your Tour Manager/Guide will accompany your church tour group on all spiritual and cultural visits and excursions in order to add his or her local knowledge and expertise to the activity.
He or she will also accompany you on other visits, such as a tour of a local market or a demonstration at an artist’s workshop. He or she may even participate with you in a cooking class, dance class, or in any number of other cross-cultural connections.
Recreational Activities and Free Time
We want to ensure that your group members stay interested in all your tour activities, so your Tour Manager/Guide will strive to break up each day with recreational activities and some free time. These may include a river cruise, the ascent of a tower, a coastal walk, or a bike ride around a chateau.
Your church group will always have free time to explore or go shopping at lunchtime and in the evenings, and your Tour Manager/Guide will ensure that your group is in a safe and appealing area when they pursue these activities.
Flexibility on Tour
Your church tour’s exclusive Tour Manager/Guide means you will have a great deal of flexibility while on your tour. If you decide you would like to spend more time at one site or to have some additional free time, he or she will help you get the most from your time abroad.
