Conductors are sometimes concerned with having adequate preparation time for the concerts on a performing tour. A concert tour is not just a sightseeing experience. Concerts are the focus and other activities should be built around them.

We work with groups to determine and secure sufficient rehearsal and preparation time before concerts. Each ensemble is unique. Some groups simply need an hour or so to warm-up in the concert venue. Others may require more rehearsal time on tour.

Please let us know as early as possible if you think your group will need extra time to rehearse on your performing tour. We may need to adjust your itinerary or arrange for a rehearsal space. In either case, it may also be advantageous to consider including a masterclass or workshop with a local professional musician.
